Terms of Use
Last updated: 16 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of PlusMinus ("the Service"). By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
What PlusMinus is — and isn't
PlusMinus helps you structure a decision by listing pros and cons, weighing them, and showing a calculated verdict. That verdict is simply the arithmetic of the weights you enter yourself — a thinking aid, nothing more. PlusMinus does not provide professional advice of any kind — legal, medical, financial, psychological or otherwise — and is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Every decision you make remains your own responsibility.
Who may use it
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to create an account. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password and any passkey secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at support@plusminus.day if you suspect unauthorized use. You can delete your account at any time in settings; this permanently removes your decisions.
Acceptable use
Use PlusMinus only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the Service, access it by automated means outside our public API and its limits, resell it, or use it to store or share unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
Your content
The decisions, pros, cons and text you enter are yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and process them so we can provide the Service to you, and we keep them private as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you enter.
Our content
The PlusMinus name, brand, design, software and decision templates belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. You may not copy, scrape or republish our templates or code beyond what the Service and our public API permit.
Service providers
To run the Service we rely on trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database hosting, EU), Vercel (application hosting), Resend (transactional email, EU) and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). They process data solely to provide their service to us.
The Service is provided "as is"
We work to keep PlusMinus reliable, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any verdict is correct or suitable for your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlusMinus is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decision you make or action you take based on the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms. If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Ending use
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached or if the law requires it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of PlusMinus is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. We will always try to resolve any dispute informally first — please write to support@plusminus.day.
